International Migratory Bird Day (Toronto Zoo)
International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) celebrates the migration of birds between their nesting grounds in North America and their wintering grounds in Central and South America. The theme this year for this international event is “Helping Birds Along the Way”. This marks the 18th year that the Toronto Zoo will be celebrating IMBD. Come out and see informative displays set up by various bird-related organizations at our Conservation Connection Centre (just outside the Indo-Malaya Pavilion) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Spotting scopes and interpretive guides will be stationed at Weston Pond in the Canadian Domain to help visitors learn to identify local birds.
