Spotting Birds for Citizen Science – Downsview Park Nature Connection

A FREE nature program for families. Connect with your natural world and come out to Downsview Park!  Our May 13th program is part of Toronto Bird Celebration, a city wide celebration of birds coordinated by Bird Studies Canada.

In the spring Downsview Park becomes an important refueling stop for thousands of migrating birds. Scientists who study birds (ornithologists) need your help to keep track of them all! Take a spring nature walk with us; all the birds we see will be recorded in an online bird database that helps scientist study and protect wild bird populations.

For more information and directions, please visit DownsviewPark.ca

All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This program may take place on rough trails, strollers are not recommended. Please do not bring animals to Nature Connection programs and remember to dress -for the weather.
